About the Event
"Cleaning House" is a series of hand-woven dustpans and brooms that the artist has been weaving while sheltering at home during the COVID-19 global pandemic. During San Diego Design Week, the fiber arts installation will be on view in the windows of design shop Kettle & Stone in Mission Hills, with photos of the works and process shared virtually.

Rachel Ehlin-Smith is a fiber artist that splits her time between San Diego, CA and New York. Created with natural dyes and materials such as hand woven raw silk, sesame bloom flowers, mane hair, and pampas grass, her delicate weavings reflect her love of nature and evoke a romantic, magical dreamlike quality.
