About the Event
How might we harness human-centered design to radically reimagine our city’s future?
The story of the San Diego-Tijuana metropolitan region is one of transformation. As our region prepares for its next evolution across this coming decade, join us to help shape the City of San Diego’s Global Vision 2030 project -- a strategic plan commissioned from the International Affairs Board by the mayor’s office -- in this radically inclusive, all-day design intensive. No design experience necessary!
All registrants will receive a pre-read designer’s toolkit on September 7th via email to help ground you in the design process and the issues we will explore during our event. All participants are encouraged, though not required, to register for Part 1 & Part 2. The details of Part 2 are listed below:
Define & Design - Thursday, September 10, 2 pm to 4 pm
Ideate and propose recommendations for inclusion in the Global Vision 2030 Strategic Plan during this human-centered design workshop. Utilizing the pre-read toolkit resources & community insights collected during the Converge session, you’ll have the opportunity to collaborate and get creative with other passionate San Diego residents on Zoom and Miro to imagine a better future for our city!
